What We’re Doing

Wrapping the Outdoor Adventure for Lion (K). We’ll check off any remaining items and share highlights from our campout or hikes.

Requirements Targeted

• Demonstrate a knot or first-aid step learned this month.
• Share one Leave No Trace practice you used outdoors.
• Confirm Six Essentials knowledge.

Materials

• Rope for quick re-check of knots; simple checklist sheets.

Opening (2 min)

Scout Law focus: Thrifty (take care of gear), Clean (leave places better).

Main Activity (25–30 min)

1. Skills circuit: each Scout demonstrates one knot OR a first-aid step.
2. Six Essentials lightning quiz (team format).
3. “One minute stories” from the campout/outing.

Second Activity (10 min)

Short outdoor game (compass course or relay).

Closing (2 min)

Recognize completions. Preview next month’s theme.

At-Home Track

Family walk: practice identifying natural vs. man-made; pack a simple daypack together.

Safety Notes

Buddy system, hydration, respectful behavior outdoors.
