PACK 62
Camping trips, campfire programs, hiking, nature exploration — plus first aid, navigation, and survival basics. Scouts learn by doing, at a pace that fits their age.
Service projects, citizenship activities, and leadership opportunities that grow with each rank — achievements that build real-world skills and confidence.
Cub Scouting is a family program — parents stay, siblings are welcome. Pinewood Derby, campouts, holiday celebrations, and friendships that stick.
Come see a meeting before you commit — we meet twice a month on Mondays during the school year, and visitors are always welcome. No uniform needed, nothing to prepare, just say hello. Email us or join our Band group for the next meeting date — then register with us on paper for the sponsored $30 rate (online charges a flat, non-refundable $85).

Mondays, 6:00–7:30 PM, twice a month, at Lithia Springs Methodist Church (Children's Building), 3711 Temple St, Lithia Springs, GA 30122. We follow the Douglas County school calendar — if school's out, we don't meet. GPS tip: search the church by name; when you arrive, cross the railroad tracks and the Children's Building is on the left.
Registration is $30 for the year — our sponsored rate, by paper application through the pack — and pack dues are $10 for each month we hold meetings. Start with the $13.99 Pack 62 t-shirt; the official uniform shirt can come later.
We never want cost to be a barrier — quiet, confidential assistance is available for registration, uniforms, and handbooks. Just let a leader know. (Registering online costs a flat $85, non-refundable — see how to join.)
Yes — a parent or guardian stays for every meeting and every event, no drop-offs, at every grade. That's Pack 62 policy and the heart of how the pack works: Cub Scouting is a parent-child program, and parents are the program.
It is also a great way to see how the program runs, because we always need good volunteers.
We meet twice a month. Meetings mix den time — grade-level groups working on the adventures for their rank — with pack-wide activities, games, and recognitions.
The easiest first step is to email us or come see a meeting. Registration is a simple paper application through the pack — $30 for the year. Don't register online: the online system charges a flat $85, non-refundable, and there is no way to apply our sponsored rate there. See how to join for the full walkthrough.
Yes — camping is part of the program. Younger Scouts (Lions and Tigers) do family campouts. Older Scouts take on more independent outdoor experiences as their skills grow.
Yes — all kids are welcome. Because a parent stays at every meeting and campout, you are on site to manage medication, dietary needs, an inhaler, or an EpiPen. We collect standard health forms so leaders know what's going on, and we plan snacks and campout meals around known allergies.
Cub Scouting serves Kindergarten through 5th grade with a family-centered, leader-guided program. Scouts BSA (ages 11–17) is youth-led with more independence and advanced skills. Our Arrow of Light Scouts cross over to Scouts BSA at the end of 5th grade.
