START WITH THE SHIRT — ADD THE REST WHEN YOU'RE READY

UNIFORMS & PACK SHIRTS

Here's what you need to outfit your Cub Scout. We keep it simple — and nobody should buy everything at once.

Coming to your first meeting? Don't buy anything yet. No uniform is needed on day one — visit, meet your den, and talk with a leader first, then pick up what you need once your Scout is registered.

WHAT DO WE WEAR?

FIELD UNIFORM ("CLASS A")

The official Cub Scout shirt with required insignia. Worn for pack meetings, ceremonies, and formal events.

  • Start here: official Cub Scout shirt (rank-appropriate)
  • Required insignia: Atlanta Area Council shoulder strip, Pack 62 numerals, World Crest, rank patches
  • Add later: belt, uniform bottoms, socks, neckerchief and slide, cap

PACK SHIRT ("ACTIVITY SHIRT")

Our Pack 62 t-shirt — great for den meetings, service projects, hikes, and anything messy. Encouraged for most weekly activities (but not a replacement for the field uniform at formal events).

Sold at cost through the church's merch shop — starting at $13.99, no markup.

WHERE TO BUY: ATLANTA SCOUT SHOP

The Atlanta Scout Shop is the official uniform source. They can size and hem pants, and they'll sew patches for you.

Tip: Don't stress about patch placement. The Scout Shop handles sewing and can show you the current placement guide if you'd rather do it yourself.
