Step up as a den leader this fall and complete your training, and the Atlanta Area Council will set you up with a free Cub Scout leader uniform and a den leader starter kit to run your first meetings. It's part of a council push to recruit and equip new leaders — a great time to jump in.

Advancement tracking, communications, fundraising coordination, logistics. If you are organized and prefer to work in the background, there is a place for you.
You don't have to run a den to make a difference. Every one of these matters, and none of them needs a title:
Youth Protection Training is required before you work with Scouts and renews every two years. It covers appropriate adult–youth interactions, recognizing concerns, and Scouting America's safety standards.
