BeAScout.org is Scouting America's official signup site. Search for Pack 62 in Lithia Springs, GA 30122 and submit your application online.
Registration is $30 for the year (our sponsored rate) and pack dues are $10 per month. Cost should never be a barrier — confidential financial help is available; just ask a leader.
Registering directly on BeAScout.org charges the full national fee of $85, with no discount and no refunds. To register at our sponsored $30 rate — or to request confidential financial assistance — talk to us first and we'll sign you up through the pack with a paper application. Same Scout, same program, lower cost.
A parent or guardian stays for every meeting — it's a safety standard and part of how Cub Scouting works. No uniform needed on day one; when you're ready, start with the official Cub Scout shirt. More on uniforms here.
Nothing to bring, nothing to prepare — meet in the Children's Building at the church, park in the main lot, and someone at the door will point you to the right room. Shortly after you join, we'll ask you to fill out a quick family talent survey — every family helps somewhere, and it tells us what you'd enjoy.
All new Cub Scouts earn the Bobcat rank first — a quick introduction to the foundations of Scouting: the Scout Oath & Law, the Scout salute & handshake, and the motto — "Do Your Best!"
Once they've got Bobcat, Scouts move into their grade-level den and start working on rank adventures. See the dens and ranks →
Scouting has its own vocabulary, and nobody explains it to new families. Here's the short version:
A small group of Scouts in the same grade. Your Scout's home base — most weeks are den meetings.
All the dens together — that's us, Pack 62. Once a month everyone meets as a pack for events and awards.
Each grade works toward one rank (Lion through Arrow of Light) by completing hands-on activities called adventures.
Trained parent volunteers. The Cubmaster runs pack meetings; den leaders run your Scout's den.
We belong to the Atlanta Area Council (our regional Scouting America office) and are sponsored by Lithia Springs Methodist Church.
The official app where advancement is tracked. You'll get access after registering — leaders record most of it for you.
